today is my last day at the MAS Property Department, KLIA. it was a a very sad day..even the weather are not soo nice today..raining and cloudy all day..

thanks everone..u will be in my heart forever..

i gain knowledge and i gain experience that i never expect to learn when i first step my foot there..thanks for everything~

week12 day 4: amanat and thoughts that counts~

today was a bit sad because last night was the last time i got to see fiza as my fellow practical student at MAS..she went to perth for holiday..leaving me alone today..so today i arrived at the office at 8.30am..intentionally because i am used to be 2nd after her..huhu..so i missed her already..then i came in the office and i found as usual, mr jamal and k ina was there..and k shima was early today too..then k shima called me and she gave 2 gifts..a mascargo pen and a shawl..thanks so much k shima!!! and then around 9.30am, the senior general manager from subang came in to give them briefing about the current situation at the department..it was quite serious..i dont think i should say much in here..it their secrets..so better be quite..the meeting ended at 12.30pm..gosh it was long..but because it wasnt so formal..plus they provide foods and drinks..i managed to get thru till the end..hehe..then..i spent much of the time today doing my report~

then at 4pm..en azmi called me into his office..that was the last time i got to see him because tomorrow he wont be around..so that our final goodbyes..huhu..he told me so much that i really want to know..about life, future, LAE, getting the IR title..what to do later..and he said i can look for him rite after i graduate later..yey!! i love that idea so much!!! love u all so much!

week12 day 3: LAE?

today, practical students from subang that we met last week came to klia..serangan balas? eh..lawatan balas..hehe..so as their bos requested..they need to follow mr maswan and ask about BCMS and how it works..so me and fiza also joined them..then..the day finally arrived!!!

since few weeks back..the week we went to hangar06 with en azhar to repair the pump, we met en halim, penghulu of the hangar..i ask en halim then, can i see how the perot of an aircraft looks like..he said..he cant let me in..but if en shahar write an email and sent to him..he might consider it as an oficial visit..so last tuesday..i said to en shahar..sad la..xsempat nk tgk aircraft..then he out of the sudden, he email en halim..but since its already tuesday..he said..dont put on much hope..it is in such a short notice..so..today..i keep on asking en shahar..has en halim replied? then around 11pm..when we came back from AHU at the penthouse, en shahar said..get ready! the penghulu has spoken!! weehooo! my dream some true!!! i got to see perot of an aircraft!!! thanks to en shahar and en halim!! u really made my day!!! we were taken into the cabin, then into the coppit( is this correct?) then we met mr samuel..and LAE, license aircraft engineer..he's expert in radio system..so we aske so much on how to be a LAE..he told us this and that..and i am all excited!!! and i am thinking whether or not to change course? haha~

week12 day 1: count down started..huhu~

today is monday..and everyone was talking about this week being my final week there..and it was very sad..and kinda depressing..huhu..because i think i will definitely miss them all~

today dr yasmin hanum as my uni supervisor came to visit..and it was a blast..usually only en shahar would join the meeting..but today..en din also joined..thanks en din..eventho u say i was byk mulut..but finally u did say my inquiry is very good..haha..thank a million en din! the visit started with dr yasmin called that she arrived at the visitor centre..then...i help with the pass..because pass matter is always a fuss to everyone..then i took her around the campus..then i brought her to the office..en shahar first told that he got a meeting..and i was scared if he cant meet my supervisor..then next thing i know..both he and en din doing the favor..thanks so much! and the discussion with them lasted around 45min i think..then me and dr yasmin continued discussing and more like a borak2..hehe..thanks dr..i was scared at first..but since it was u..so i am a bit relieved..since i took signal with her few sems ago. so the meeting lasted 3 hours..wow! 3pm till 6pm..so alhamdullilah..everything went a OK! thanks to all!

week11 day 5: bond~

today, nothing much to learn. i am very much spent most of the time planning on what to put in my report.

breakfast with en shahar and fiza. we talk about what we will do later in the future. then we ask en shahar on his experiences with MAS and all..then i think my new interest is in aircraft and air-cond..gosh..felt less interest in electrical..gosh gosh..hope this wont make me change my course...haha~

then we spent time talking and lepakking with the rest of the staff..gosh i love it here so much..not that we can learn everything but we do learn on improving our interpersonal skill..and i am pretty much think i have changed quite much in this 3 months time..less shy when meeting new people and especially guys..haha..but in a good way of cos..so..i did met my requirement for my practical..yes..this was written in uniten's li guide ok~

even i didnt get to learn everything in details but i think i have spent 11 quality weeks with everyone at MAS property and everyone i met while doing this practical. oh i always mention the staffs name but i never really did mention my fellow practical friends i got a chance to get t know them and learn things from them. so i start with izat, my fellow unitenian whom i just got to know when i knew he too is doing practical at klia..so we made a deal..and car pool till this week..thanks izzat..u have been a very good car pool partner..thanks for listening to all my words and stupid stories..haha..thanks for being very patient with me..then come fikri, mfi student whom too doing practical at MAS..he set the pattern on how i should manage myself there..i think if i didnt get to know him..i wont very much can be as happy as today..thanks so much fikri..then along came fiza, my new adik..hehe..lucky i have u as a friend thoughout these time..thanks for all the belanja thingy..all the helps..all the ride..and thanks to u i got the chance to see i-city even we went there during the day..hehe..then thanks to u i can get the taste of shah alam's best abc..then thanks for giving me the tour to uitm..how i wish uniten would has an indoor pool..huhu..then i met miera and fatin at subang..even i just met them only for 2 days..not much of them i get to learn..but they did teach me a lot..thanks so much everyone..and if i did anything that offend any of u..please please please forgive me..i am just being me..i am just a normal ordinary girl who cant really behave myself when i lost control..hehe~

week11 day 4: subang airport part II

salam~

so today, mr hazizi taught on how to calculate voltage drop when given a case..
then we attend a meeting with a contractor on lighting and air-cond project..mr hamzi also joined the meeting. so we did learn much on air-cond system in subang. plus mr hamzi introduced us to en zainal, and he brought us to see how air-cond system in subang works. so now i can see what are the differents between system in klia and in subang. instead of having their own GDC, subang is generating their own cool water by using air cooller chiller and air cooller chiller and also split units.

here i would like to apollogize openly to mr wan hazizi..i didnt mean to do anything i just did..so i want to express my deepest apollogy to u..thank you for everything u have taught me n fiza..we did learn a lot today, like what i'm trying to say just now..the reason i said practical is better just because we cant really see the sense u are trying to make us understand..but forgive me..now i understand better...and i hope our relationship wont stop here..i am really really hoping that i can make u my mentor because from what en hamzi told us, it is better if we have a mentor to guide us to the right path..so again..i would like to apollogize to u..sorry and thanks for everything~

week11 day 3: subang airport~

last friday, when en azizi from subang came, he told us to ask en shahar to let us to subang. but i purposely forget that..haha..well..it is my 2nd last week ok...but then today..around 10am, en shahr told us that en azizi called and asked us to go there, so we went..and we arrived at subang's airport at 11.30am~

learn about the electrical power systems..and mostly involved much calculations..so we dont really like it..haha..since what we use to do before..more practical is waaay better than book learning style..so we are quite hesitate to spend another day there..but since fiza word does make sense to me..bile lg nk g sana? next week is my final week..so i wont do much next week..more leisure and play and more report!huhu~ so ok my dear adik..subang we go again tomorrow~

and we met new friends from UTM, miera and fatin..thanks for everything! u guys did teach us a lot..and hopefully tomorrow we can learn more from u~

oh..got previously pending job given by en shahar, need to go to the GSE, cargo auxiliary and my study case report progress..huhu

so after followed mr maswan to the opposite office to check on the VAV, then we followed mr megat to those places to check on the list of the fire-fighting system. then followed him to the site office then he sent us back to the office.

then, when we came back to the office, we found out that they are preparing a farewell makan2 for me and fiza on next tuesday..hoho..terharu seposen d ctu..sobs2~

met mr wan hazizi from MAS subang. he was a graduate from UNITEN too..so i was very excited to get to know him. but he said he was actually graduated from electrical electronic but now he is currently working on electrical power system. from what i know, he is very good in that field. he keep on asking us on eps but mostly we end-up giving him blank faces..so sorry mr wan..huhu..ok2..now i know i should concentrate on one thing than trying to get to know everything..insyallah~

today, mr maswan explain about the IFAS system or Intelligent fire alarm system in the complex.

then at 11am we went to GDC, gas district cooling for a visit.

Gas District Cooling (GDC) Co-generation Plant

The GDC plant is equipped initially with 2 x 20MW gas turbine generators. The output of the generators at 11 kV is stepped up to 33kV by individual 11/33kV, 27 MVA transformers and fed to a 33kV switchboard. From this 33kV board, supply to the KLIA EPS at SSA Substation is provided via 2 x 33kV cable feeders (each rated for 40MVA), 200m in length.The neutral of the 33kV winding for each transformer is earthed via a common 1600A Neutral Earthing Resistor. 
The auxiliary consumption of the Cogen Plant is about 8MW, which leaves approximately 32MW available for export to KLIA EPS via the two aforementioned 33kV, 40MVA underground cables. The capacity of each cable, at 0.85PF (Power Factor) is 36MW. These cables are installed and maintained by GDC.

week10 day 2: air-cond

again..we went to hangar 05 with mr megat but today it was about the air-cond system. one of the many AHU is reported to be supplying less cool air than monitored thru the BCMS pc in the office. so, we went to check. then  after the contractor check, they said there was a blockage in the supply ducting. so they need to make a hole and only then they can remove the blockage.

then later in the evening, we went to Hangar 06 attending complaint about the gas compressor.

week10 day 1: pump house

since it is school holiday so i decided to do more reading than just wait for anyone to follow. so i start my day with reading the MAS corporate approving authority manual (AAM)

then later in the evening, mr megat brought us to the pump house to see how the contractor change the starter for the water pump and he also explain how the fire-system works.

week9 day 5: tender process~

in the morning, i spend the time mostly on my report.

in the evening, i focused on how to do a tender and how a process to make the monthly work done~

it involved much of paper work. RWO(request work order), quotations and etc.

week9 day 4: fire alarm system

salam~

today we followed mr lai, mr maswan and mr shahar to Hangar 05 and check on the MIMIC and I-Panel that will show where fire occur and the system will direct link to local bomba and klia bomba.

to make things easy to monitor, they are combining the info from hangar 05 and 06, then can be monitor from Hangar 6. after making few adjustments and repair..things are working well and problems are solved.

schuzyy had run all in the hangar area..hahaha~

week9 day 3: electrical hands-on work~

there was a complaint at Hangar05 about alarm ringing but there was no fire. so we went with mr Maswan there to check if there was anything..then muted the alarm.

later in the evening, we followed vendor, ANE Engineering guys to the Hangar05 again, and check on the lighting that was reported to be faulty since long..so they checked and found out that the fuse in the lighting system. yes the system is a bit different from the ordinary ones..they want to keep the cost low so they use bus bar to lessen the amount of cable used. so to protect the lamp, they used fuse. so in this case, since the department need the fault to be repair asap..so they just do looping to the other circuit that are in good condition and make it in series.

the morning is spent with study on air-cond system for report and asking mr maswan for further details.

in the evening, mr dahari the chargeman took us to the main intake and hangar 05 to check on the electrical power system and to explain where and how the system work in the MAS complex.

we went to the Cargo Village with Mr Megat to check the list given by Mr Shahar. Actually the list was given by contractor appointed to made good the fire-fighting system in the village, so we as the maintenance people need to check whether the list are tally with the real defects in the place. such as the nozzle, GI pipe and hose.

the check list were done in all 4 cargo buildings. supposedly we also need to check the engineering department but we postponed due to lack of time and other works~

week8 day 2: tired~

today, as they said..day after gaji was most busiest day..because everyone is very hardworking..haha~

so do i..mr sahar told us to follow him to hangar 6, contractor from singapore came to check on the i-panel..it is intelligent system used in hangar 6 to monitor and control all air-cond, fire-fighting and chill water system in the area. unlike other places..only hangar 6 is using i-panel..other building are using either BCMS, honeywell, johnson control. since few weeks ago, fiza and i was following mr maswan and mr megat around..so from observation and questions, i think now i understand the system better. there are AHU,FCU and split unit for air-conditioning.

so today, we were running here and there to check on every AHU in hangar 6..en azhar said, the hangar was film on national geographic being the biggest structure built in asia. actually the wonder is about how they made the roof in one piece and levitated the whole thing and put it on place..gosh..it is big ok!

so the walking and checking went from 10am till 4pm..gosh..sooo tiring..but like i said..i love site visit!! hoho..especially when it is near earoplane..like a dream come true..i even got a chance to touch the plane tyre and turmac..or engine..not really sure what it is called..haha~

but today was happy day! love it!

still..my suspend to receive a visit from dr yasmin is still rising..gosh..when will she contact me and say the date..scary~

week8 day 1: happy~

today, mr maswan took me and fiza to hangar 5 to check on the AHU..they were suspecting water block in th pipe underground. so after checking the AHU, he said he need to tell the contractor to check on the pipe 1st.

then we went to hangar 6 to check attend complaints..this is somehow due to the announcement we made on the chill water supply..everyone was complaining that their office are hot..so as expected they requested for fans..but since the supply was almost normal, 8degree Celcius, we went to check on the offices..it is somewhat warmer..so we went to the AHU room..nothing..so we went to the motor room..problem was there..the motor are receiving false signal from the BCMS, so mr maswan out the motor on manual..so that it wont fluctuating and supply steady amount of chill water.

then later that morning, we went to the pump house again with mr megat, repairing the fire panel.

then in the evening, mr sahar said, he wanted to see my log book by the end of the week..so i spend the rest of the evening completing my log book and doing research on mr azmi's assignments.

schuzyy is still learning new things eventho its already week 8..love it!!

today..mr megat took us to hangar 06, to the oven galley workshop..to check on the air-cond problem there..it is a FCU, fan coil unit..so the process is a bit different from AHU.

and mr megat too had took us to the pump house, checking the pipe pressure~

week7 day 2: another thoughts~

plan for today was, 1st help fiza with the pass then its either follow mr megat to check the contractor's work or go to fmb. since we asked mr megat 1st, then he said he need to settle some work at cargo so we decided to go to fmb.

so at fmb we spend most of the time listening to mr md noor's teaching.yes..he love to teach..they even have white board and markers for him to play teacher with the staff there..funny tho..so when we are there, its easy for him to explain on the system and all. it was my 2nd time there, so it was so much of a new experience. what's new are just the view inside the aircraft control center; where we got to see some pilots.hehe..
then he brought us to the control room. it was something like one in admin building. so not so new experience for me..huhu~

then we went back at the admin building or so called SFB, support facilities building.

then, for another 1 hour.. i spend time taking life lesson with mr jamal and mr zainal. something out of practical spec..haha..but it is valuable for my life ahead. thanks so much~

week7 day 1: jalan2 day~

today was most tiring day..but i love it! this is why i keep on getting question from them..do i want to join this department? and my answer is still..YES! haha..main reason because its with MAS..my dream job..then come the 2nd most important reason..the job is not mainly in the office..and it need some brain too..like what en din said..or more like complaint..hehe..if i want to rest i better not join them..but of cause i dont want an office job..so maintenance IS for me..i wont mind having to deal with fussy users..i wont mind doing dirty work..and most of all..maintaining things is much more easy than developing new projects..hoho~

so..what i did today?

morning: mr maswan brought us to hangar 5 to change the smoke detector..he explained to us that the fire-fighting system in the MAS complex can be monitored from the control room at the admin building where the office is..so when the alarm triggered they will know it..and in case of false alarm like this..when they come to check..its only because of the smoke detector contaminated with dirt or dust..so its either cleaning or change..then he brought us to the control room. it uses CMS, call monitoring system..which will call the fire department as soon as real alarm is triggered..so no time will be wasted.

then mr maswan brought us to the genset room at the hangar 6.  that was one of the 2 genset placed for the building. it is a 400kvA generator set.

evening: mr nazri brought us to GSE, ground support equipment building and ECS, engineering central store for some check-up with the complaints.

week6 day 5: hotline system

so today..its office day again~

after i went to the visitor centre with fiza for her pass..then we went back to the office..so today we decided to learn from the kindest officer in the office..mr zainal..or more known to us trainee as abg jenal..haha..he is the hotline guy..

for a maintenance department..hotline is the most crucial..we provide the service..so we need the feedback..and the place they will contact if any problem occured is here..to mr zainal..it's either thru email or phone call..here the complete process:

1. complaint from the user
2. mr zainal replied with the report number for future reference
3. complaints attend by officer or vendors
4. complaint report need to be endorsed and rated
5. report paper sent back to the office  for filing and record

so..it's about 100 complaints in a day..so please please be patient when u complaint later ok~

week6 day 4: fire-fighting system

so today, me as the senior trainee was given task to help the new trainee with her pass..haha..ok..so the day start with taking her to the security office for the Aviation safety briefing..during the 1 hour wait..i joined mr megat doing his daily visit to the pum house. the visit is mainly to check on the water pressure inside the pipes..the whole thing is quite complex..but to make it simple~

the fire-fighting system in MAS complex can be divide to 2 main part..the admin building and hangars..there are 2 hangars now..and they are using foam and water..the size was super huge! well for me there are..hehe..for the admin and another few buidings are the normal size..the pump house hold big responsible in case of fire since it will cover the whole area! gosh!

week6 day 3: golden lounges

today..begin at 9am..me, fiza, k ina, k leha, and en azhar are going to the MTB, main terminal building which we called KLIA. what made i say these? because for those who work at the KLIA..klia is actually the whole thing..including LCCT..so that's is why the airport is called MTB..or the terminal in short..so now u know..hehe

we are brought to the MTB under JUARA, some organization by MAS whom will organize this kind of event for the staff to get to know the company more..so its our luck today to join them..hehe

the tour is about visiting 3 MAS golden lounges; domestic, regional and satellite..lucky us since there are only 6 of us..we got to eat at 2 places..domestic for breakfast and lunch at the regional golden lounge..nice2..i ate so much i cant eat anymore for dinner..haha~

week6 day 2: BCMS

what is BCMS? i have hearb bout this since the first day..so today i got to see the 'thing'~

thanks to mr maswan..he brought me and fiza, the new trainee to the engineering complex for some close view on the BCMS..

BCMS, building control management system is the system used to help make things easier to monitor from one point, in this case from the maintenance office. now, with the system, they can monitor the air-cond system and the fire fighting system for the whole campus from one computer..super easy what tecnology can do for us nowadays~

but the problem today was actually, what can we do to decrease the temperature of the chilled water. so mr maswan said the least they can do is increase the frequency of the pump so that more chilled water are supplied to the users in hope of decreasing the temperature.

week6 day 1: money always matter much~

luckily the previous contract of the generator set at the main intake are over..so today..i got the chance to see how they change the genset..beginning from the swithching off the supply..changing the genset..re-fuelling..and switching on the power again~

now i know how generator really do help in these situation~

i was so eager to get to the office today! i need to know what happen yesterday!

so i asked en din..he said..the problem is not from us..so need to wait for GDC or TNB..

the story was actually IS from the MAB..they were doing some testing when the power went off..but when they tried to put it back on..GDC had problem..so the supply of 75% form GDC is null..so left them with no choice..so now..we are using 100% supply from TNB..

and GDC said..their chillers too had problem..so the chilled water supplied will be slightly high than normal..

problem to us..complaints form LSG catering..they need chilled water for their operation..so..it IS big problem there..

ok..schuzyy really cant stay in office long~

week5 day 3: major problem! yey!

like always..if one day i was out to the site..then the day after i will be kept at the office..its ok..

so today..en sahar told me to search on the lightning arrestors especially the technical specification for him to put on the tender..so i tried..its kinda hard to find thing when we want it..anyone agree? haish..so i keep on searching..

then around 4pm..the power went off..then i heard en sahar shout..azy! go fix it..omg~ haha..then i heard mr zaflee said..even the phone went off..so in my mind..omg..is it alien? haha..ok..its not..then phone went on again..and phones are ringing..it turned out that the whole campus supplies are off..and when i text my friend at MAB..he said it from TNB..so after 10 min..the power was on again..thank God! but the truth is still to be discovered~

week5 day 2: the climb~

hehe..its not about the song by miley cyrus..but it's me doing the climb..hehe~

en din invited me to join the meeting with Siemens discussing bout the transformer again..it's actually to negotiate the price again..i think they have made up their mind about the type and made..so i think its the Siemens after all..so..need to wait for another 10 weeks i guess~

then en sahar asked me to follow him with hj radzi to Cargo Agent A..they are planning on changing all the lightning arresters that was stolen..it's kinda weird when looking at the security and all..so assumption made..it's done by the people working inside the complex itself..weird when people now don't mind taking others belongings just for money~

the process for a tender to be opened will involve:

2. estimation on the things to be done
3. calling min 3 contractors

monday: DOSH officer came for the renewal for the tele-platforms licences..en azhar said i can follow him if i want..so yes!! my chance! haha~

the officer came with the CTI System guy, Mr Kumaran..he was the one who is in-charge for all the machines..he need to be around daily to do the daily maintenance..such as greasing the cables and all..

so the inspection was schedule to take about 1 hour..but due to few reasons: hard to get cooperation from the Hangar crew..so..what can we do..just wait and wait~

so the inspection was done on few things..the hooks..the cables..the platforms..

week4 day 5: water flow meter

like other fridays..i was not expecting much outings..so i am preparing myself with more reading materials..but then, around 10am..en sahar told me that engineers from subang will come to look at the transformer..so i should be joining then..so i asked en zaflee when hj radzi will come..i need to follow him..but then en zaflee said..its just a normal visit..just to confirm the report..so nothing much to see there..then hearing that..en sahar asked me..whether i want to follow them changing the water flow meter..it wasnt really related to power, but i followed still..haha..

one thing i learn from that outing is..at our home..they used analog meter..but here..they need to use this flow meter for easier getting all sort of details and reading..the data can even be downloaded and uploaded..it uses electronic..and it cost rm9000! yes..thousand! omg~

week4 day 4: vin diesel~

haha..the title state as if i meet my dream guy..haha..actually it was about me..getting a chance to ride a diesel lorry! the diesel was needed to fuel the generator at the substation.

the morning was spent with reading about frequency..this was somewhat a challenge from en din..he said..if i want to be a good engineer..i should know what i need to know...the main purpose is to avoid any pijak kepala or tertipu by others..so there i was..sitting..reading..and maybe later i will follow those guys doing the rough jobs..yosh!

week4 day 3: electrician~

salam~

after having breakfast with k ina..en azhar n en yusof asked if i want to follow them to hangar6..it was a monthly check-up before they report back on their meeting. so i went with them along with a contractor..

main problem was the floor painting..so they are considering repainting..then suddenly the engineering staff of hangar6 came and told us that 4 of their jet socket dont have power..so we went there to check. calling the chargeman and vendors, they checked and concluded that all 4 of the sockets need to be replaced. so we went back to the office because those socket need to be ordered from oversea..malaysia dont have any of those yet..sad~

then in the evening..i was planning to just concentrating on my assignment since en sahar asked me almost each day..haha..so then i made my move..i went to see abg zainal, he's the one keeping all the record on all bills that MAS complex need to pay..whoaaa..the bill is reaching millions..well..as expected..hehe..so took the values so that i can proceed with my electricity evaluation of the ACC. i need to compare the bill for the 2009 since they have installed new meter there. they assume the cargo area only uses 20% of the overall electric consumption. so i need to prove either they was right or wrong.

just before 5.30pm..en din called me..he said..i should follow the vendors so that i can learn better..doing real electrical works..so i can learn them hands-on. at first i was rebellious..haha..then after some hard thinking..i think it is true..this is the time i got the chance to learn..without any force..hoho..so i borrowed safety shoes from a friend..so today(thursday) i will be an electricial! hohoho..wish me luck!

week4 day 2: Advance Cargo Center

salam~

since yesterday was so hectic..i thought today will be bored..so i am well prepared for boredom..i was planning to start writing and doing research on my assignments..but then at 10am..en sahar told me..wak dahari, the chargeman was waiting for me to go to ACC for meter reading..so i went with him to almost all cargo agent's offices..gosh..what an experience..he said..i am lucky to get to each and every office there is..because if we didnt do the meter reading..on what purpose will i be allowed to set foot on every office..haha..my task was just to read the numbers on the meter then wak dahari will keep the record. then i followed them to Hgr 6 attending a complaint about wrong fix female socket..yes..socket has gender..info for today~

so i hope..tomorrow i can get to go somewhere else..just to keep me away from my desk..gosh i am made to be an engineer..i need a desk NOT! desk makes me sleepy..oh..no wonder i felt sleepy when i study..hehe~

week4 day 1: i love site visit!

monday blues..well..i thought i just as a trainee wont have those..but actually i do felt just the same..haha~

arrived at the office at 8.10am..shocked! the door was closed..even the roller shutter was down..what happened? i was about to call my friend to ask whether its a holiday..haha..then i remember..oh..the door can be opened with its switch..so..search for the switch..and hope its not locked..yea! 1st time ever using a roller shutter..haha..so yes! i'm the 1st to arrived today..then k leha..then cik din..then k shima..then..then..thats all? omg! it is monday blues for everyone..k leha siad..everyone was having mc, car stuck in traffic jam..car cant start..omg! in the end..left on 6 of us..and abg maswan the econ master need to come in to take the hotline..haha..lucky they didnt ask me..hoho~

then..around 10am..en din was preparing to go to cargo area..i was frustrated at 1st because i know en kamal wont take me as i dont have the apron pass..but then..when en din saw me...he asked.." kamu nk ikot ke? " without asking where to..i just answered yes! haha..gosh i am super eager to end the monday blues..then in the lift i asked en din..oh..there was a trip at the visitor center..hoho..yes..my field! so..he stopped there.and i saw wak dahari, the chargeman was there..yey..i am relieved..among 4 chargemen..only 2 seems to be ok with me following them here and there...wak dahari and mr mokhtar..so today..i am wak's shadow..hohoho..along with mr megat, alif,mizi and other 4 guys..the case was kinda big..we were testing here and there..quite tiring..i didnt know troubleshooting would be that hard...well..ok..i know it's tedious but not that hard..so in the end..2 causes found..but they said..it could be not it..as it keep on tripping..they change the lighting of the signboard, change the ELCB, earth leakage circuit breaker and major problem..cable insulation faulty..one of the gate at the entrance was malfunctioning..so they will put on tender for vendors..so i was sent back to the office at 2.30pm..gosh! tired..but like always..i cant stay at the office for long..i need to move! so at 3pm..i heard en din was going to cargo again..taking a bunch of contractor for a site visit before they proceed with a new project of changing the fire fighting water sprinkler at theAdvance Cargo Center, ACC. so like in the morning..en din asked..kamu nk ikot ke? nak!! haha..so here i go..my 1st visit to the ACC. actually en sahar has given me few assignments to complete that related to the ACC..so now..i got a clearer idea on the assignments! yes!

the 1st part was meter measuring at the ACC since they just installed meter for electric usage..so i need to measure, compare and analyse..

2nd part: the level of illumination at the ACC to respond to complaint that they need more light..according to my supervisor, the lights are sufficient according to the lux level set by government spec~

so..my day at the office today was not so long..next thing i know its already 5.30pm..time to go home! yey!

week3 day 5: last day of week 3

friday~

most of the big guys at the admin building are going out for meetings..so i am glad i am going to FMB again today..yey~

but sadly..mr md noor was on leave..but k ramlah was in..yey~

so i am left with adnan, shah and sofa. they took me around attending complaints~
1. request of extension at ticketing counter..gosh..many passengers were stranded there due to the ashes up in europe..
2. air-cond service..and carpet issue..need to add more glue..gosh~
3. i asked them to teach me how to dram the single line diagram of the assignment en yusof gave me last week..hehe..and i need to check with en zaflee and hj radhi bout that first~ thanks guys! ^_^

so at 4pm i took the shuttle back to the complex~

today was fikri's last day doing practical there..so he treat all with nasi braini..thanks fikri..and also thanks for everything..nice to know u even for such a short time..and good luck with ur new path ahead!

hm..property department will be getting another trainee next month..a girl electrical engineer-to-be from uitm..cant wait to meet her~

week3 day 4: flight management bulding, FMB

at 9am, i rushed downstairs for the feeder shuttle to FMB, yea! today..another adventure! finally~

arrived at FMB in 20min..gosh..didnt know klia and lcct quite far..then i search for Property department...after asking a cleaner lady, and she showed me gladly (still have my charms with cleaners like they say..haha~) so..there it was..property department..i was told that they have on 3 MAS staff there plus 3 vendors whom will help with the complaints..and to my anxiousness..i was told that the only women is k ramlah..and she was on medical leave today..gosh..no women around..thats scary..i thought..then as i entered..i saw 3 men..1st was mr md noor, the charge-man i met the other day..relieved~ and another 3..introduced as adnan, shah and sofaruddin..after some introduction with them, the building supervisor cum boss at Property FMB asked me to join him for breakfast..so i did..along with en md noor..summarized..there do everything there..from complaints to requests, from electrical works to plumbing..so i am amazed they have only 7 people working there..the area they handle includes the FMB, ticket conter, the link-bridge connecting FMB to terminal, 3 golden lounges and satellite which placed 1st class golden lounge which i am really really really looking forward to set foot in ^_^

then en md noor ask adnan to show me around..he took me to the HT,LV rooms, few others maintenance related rooms and the terminal..

week3 day 3: free commercial zone (FCZ)

wednesday~

en kamal promised to take me to the custom building to take my FCZ pass..so i waited for him..he was in early that day..but en din asked him to him for a round..just a monthly spot check i guess..so..there they goes..and i waited in the office..then en zaflee asked me to follow him to the Engineering Central Store o survey on the lighting system..i need to count and report back to en din bout the lights..and to our surprise..in total of 102 lights only 8 are working finely..others..either they have blown bulbs or broken housing. so they decided to put the job on tender. i'm guessing a lot of work there..then..back to the office~

around 11am..they came back..and en kamal took me for the pass..and yea..finally..my 2nd pass~

so after thanking en kamal for taking me there, supposedly i go to FMB, flight management building..but i told mr md noor i will go there the next day..so i sat there..finishing my report on the lighting at ECS to submit to mr zaflee and en din. done..and i continue with my readings on transformer..today i read on short circuit capacity..so..more clearer now~

week3 day 2: reading~

tuesday: nothing much done..i spend the day reading on how to do single line diagram for the 4th floor assignment by mr yusof..gosh its hard..hard for me who didnt really learn that in class..so i need to flip my GMI's notes back..and with some help for my brother's notes..hehe~

i met mr md noor yesterday, chargeman for facilities maintenance building at the KLIA terminal. he told me to go to his place because its somewhat the same with the complex only in smaller scale..so today after getting my MAHB pass i will going there by shuttle..hope i will learn more there..yosh!!!

week3 day 1: tired~

salam~

its a rainy n cloudy day..so its practically lazy and sleepy day..but without my nescafe..i endured such a tiring day..

9.00am: mr kamal brought me to custom department to do the fcz pass..then rite after the business there settled..i almost missed mr mokhtar, the chargeman..then i asked him where he's heading..then he said..cargo!!! yey! en mokhtar.nk ikot boley? sy dh de fcznye pass! hehe..so he said..boleh2! yes!!!

so mr mokhtar, his assistant, alif and i..headed to the cargo bilding..hehe..not as i expected.. i was expecting hi-tech humongous building..but to my surprise..it was just buiding..with offices..they only handle the cargo from far..the cargo will be taken care somewhere else..where i have no access to..sad~ but then en mokhtar showed me the Animal Hotel..sorry..no picture..forgot to bring the camera again..huhu..sad..the hotel was not like human hotel..just the fact that it would cost people like me a pocket! haha..even the canine and cats rooms are called suite..with air-conditioner mind u! seriuosly! well..i am amaze how much a man can love its pet..claps for them~

then mr mokhtar received a call..there were few trips around the area..so we attend it..few of the places was just  normal tripping..and the weird case today..an office at cargo B building reported blackout..so we went to the office to check..nothing on the db..so we check the meter board..omg! the yellow phase cable burned..and mr mokhtar said..if the cable touches the body of the board..it would definitely explode! omg! yes..i came to the rescue..cewah..so i followed them alarming all office in the buiding..about 10 of them..telling then to switch off their computers so that later when we turn off the main switch...no data would be lost..i was so amaze..ok..it was not so amazing but to me it was somthing very new..so at 12.50pm..mr mokhtar told me to switch the main power off..so i did.yes! haha..then they re-wire back the cable..ok..its wasnt so hard..think i can do it myself next time..mr mokhtar told his assistant to do most of the work..me as always..am a faithful observer..hehe..so after re-wiring done..mr mokhtar switched on the main power back..then we received another call from hanger 6..so we went there..it was a complaint made a year ago..a repeating problem i assume..so mr mokhtar said..this is big..they need to open up each 12 lights which are 3 meters above head..so he advised the reporter (erm..the guy did the report)  to email property department..because such case will need contracter to do..so after that we headed back to the office..mr mokhtar asked k ina to do another letter for me allowing me to go in the apron area..yes u read correct..apron is the landasan for the plane..haha..airways maybe more known to us..haha..so next time..i need to pay rm1 if i want to follow them to the cargo area..so that they dont have to send me first then drive way round..tedious..huhu..so me spend another ringgit? huhu...even a ringgit sound big when in a financial crisis like this..huhu..cant wait for the allowance!!!
